Take some time to tour UNC Charlotte Parking and Transportation Services operations, see behind the scenes and learn industry best-practices from UNC Charlotte's employees and primary vendors who support their systems.  Each attendee will have an opportunity to participate in each of the following 20 minute sessions:

  • Parking Operations 1 - Permitting and Enforcement System - Driven by AIMS
    • Tour the interior of PaTS' operations facility which includes the customer service counter, admin offices, training room, maintenance tech suite, and communications center.
    • See how PaTS uses AIMS to manage their parking and enforcement operations including virtual permitting and mobile LPR enforcement.
  • Parking Operations 2 - PARCS - Driven by SKIDATA
    • Tour the North Deck parking facility adjacent to the PaTS operations facility and learn how PaTS configured their decks to accept virtual permits and fixed LPR.
    • See how PaTS uses SKIDATA to manage their gated facilities and how the AIMS & SKIDATA systems work together to provide for seamless operation.
  • Parking Maintenance - Parking Deck Cleaning & Maintenance - Driven by Cleanstreak
    • Talk to the PaTS Maintenance Techs about how they maintain UNC Charlotte's 11 on-campus parking decks.
    • See a live demo of the Cleanstreak power washing process that helps keep UNC Charlotte's parking decks looking great!
  • Transportation Operations - Niner Transit Campus Transit System - Driven by Academy Bus
    • See how PaTS utilizes both a third-party contractor and in-house resources to operate a campus transit fleet of 12-40' transit buses, 4 shuttle buses, and 3 on-demand/para-transit vehicles.
    • Talk to Academy Bus management about their relationship with the University and their involvement operating Niner Transit.
    • Lean how UNC Charlotte partners with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) to provide all-access transit passes to UNC Charlotte students, faculty & staff, allowing them to ride all CATS buses and light rail trains.

Transportation between the hotel and UNC Charlotte PaTS will be provided along with a boxed lunch after the tours/demos.
