Rick Boucher is the Parking Operations Manager at UNC Charlotte Parking and Transportation Services. Based in Charlotte, NC, Rick oversees the parking system for one of North Carolina's largest universities, serving over 30,000 students, faculty, and staff. His role includes managing enforcement, special event parking, and customer service, and leading a communication center team responsible for answering all parking and transportation-related questions from the campus community, including assisting them in making the most informed decisions possible.With seven years in the parking industry and a Part 107 sUAS commercial operator certification, Rick has driven significant innovations, including launching a pilot drone program to enhance traffic management during special events. He leverages data from biannual space counts to make informed decisions about parking needs, permit types, and restrictions.Rick's extensive background in customer service—spanning over 20 years, including a decade as a store manager for Cumberland Farms in New England—underpins his focus on operational efficiency and customer-focused solutions.
