Jared Wright, MBA candidate, is the Parking Operations Manager at NC State University. He has a passion for team development, updating processes, and common-sense solutions.
For the past 15 years, Wright has had the pleasure to serve the parking, traffic, and transportation industry. He has served as the Director of Parking and Traffic at PNC Arena, the medical campus of Duke University, and now as Parking Operations Manager at NC State University.
Wright’s management style is simple: make data driven decisions that are great for customers, empower team members to do their best without obstacles, devise common sense solutions to improve processes, and treat everyone with respect.
Wright has taken part in numerous projects; however, his highlights are: analyzing data to increase team productivity, authoring two separate team handbooks that created autonomy at work, prioritizing the need for change, increasing morale, and building trust, and implementing ParkHub mobile point of sale system at PNC Arena, Park Assist wayfinding solution at Duke University, and great facility sign projects for permit and transient parkers at NC State University.
It is notable to mention that Wright makes a pound cake that could give the blue-ribbon winner at the state fair some competition. While the recipe came from a friend who was born and raised in Zebulon, North Carolina, Wright’s technique and process are from years of research and testing. It is delicious!
